Note to City of Vancouver – Ottawa’s LRT Can Carry More Than a SkyTrain Subway.
An interesting graphic from Ottawa, as it seems their tunnel portion of the line has platforms that are 150 metres in length, versus SkyTrain’s platform length of only 80 metres or the Canada Line’s station platforms, which are only 40 metres in length and according to TransLink, can be easily lengthened to 50 metres.
Ha, ha, ha, who is Translink and the City of Vancouver kidding, when they say a SkyTrain subway under Broadway would have more capacity than a surface LRT. The truth is, unless a SkyTrain subway has platform lengths 150 metres long or more, it will not have the capacity of the Ottawa light rail system.
Sadly The $2.5 billion Canada Line will has very little capacity, much less than what TransLink and its surrogates claim and for this, Translink wants more money from the taxpayer to pay for their lunacy and deceit?
Oh what tangled webs we weave, when we first practice to deceive!
