Trams coexisting with people is normal in Amsterdam

This is the third time in as many weeks where a person walking on the SkyTrain guideway stops SkyTrain servcie; of course people walk all over LRT/tram track everyday and with ;ding-ding’ of a tram bell, they get out of its way!

I spent 20 minutes waiting at Main Street station the other day thanks to “someone walking in the tunnel between Burrard and Waterfront”.

I’m really glad I was out in the fresh air rather than trapped underground.

In five years of daily commuting, I’ve endured a number of similar situations. the longest being 1 hour on the swoop under the viaducts. At least it was the short turn and I had a seat… When it comes to reliability, Skytrain is like the old nursery rhyme. when it’s good it’s very very good, but when it is bad it is horrid.
